Total Internal Reflections

Total internal reflection is an optical phenomenon that occurs when light crosses a surface from one medium into another medium at any angle larger than the critical angle. This effect causes the light to not pass through to the other medium at all, but instead it will be reflected back into the first medium. This physical property works like a perfect mirror and is what makes prismatic binoculars and rainbows possible. It is also what gives diamonds their distinctive sparkle.

Our subconscious mind is the mind beneath or beyond conscious awareness. The subconscious mind stores all of the information we obtain throughout our lives. The conscious mind is what we use in every day life while we are awake, pulling bits and pieces of subconscious information out as we need it. We all use our subconscious and conscious minds together to forecast, the estimation of unknown situations, or predict the future. Anyone can forecast or predict that if there are dark clouds approaching in the sky and the winds are picking up that it will most likely rain in the near future.

Our dreams are a total internal reflection of our subconscious mind while we sleep.
